Both boxer shorts and thongs can be attractive. I use boxer shorts for times when I stay indoors like when it rains. Also I find boxer shorts appropriate to wear to bed if I am sleeping by myself or at a sleep over because of nasty pranks that include wedgies. Boxer shorts are very comfortable. I wear thongs to take pride in my appearance in public and when getting intimate with someone. Also I believe that I feel more attractive if a thong slips out of my pants rather than a pair of panties. However, occasionally I wear panties that I find very attractive because I only buy thongs that I think are hot and can turn on someone.
