What is the title to this childrens book where a girl is turned into a tree?
There is either a traveling merchant or carnival that roles into town and kids start to deal with this strange guy and this girl is turned into a tree. I believe the guy was short and round. He wore a white suit and black top hat. Could someone please help! also the guy may have granted wishes
